According to the New York Post, lip readers say that Rodgers uncorked a rant including, “f*cking c*cksucker” when Metcalf failed to catch the pass.
This is Rodgers’ first season with the Steelers, and the loss was more dearly felt because we all know he was Green Bay’s star quarterback for the first 18 years of his NFL career.
Despite the Steelers being up as the first half came to a close, the Packers made a comeback to win the game.
As a member of the Packers, Rodgers led the team to the Super Bowl in 2011 and won four league MVP titles during his stint at Lambeau Field.
After that great success, he was traded to the New York Jets in 2022 and spent most of that time on the injured list. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers for this season.
“We can’t beat ourselves,” Rodgers fumed to the press after Sunday’s game.
“I think in the three losses, there’s been times where we’ve had opportunities and we’ve hurt ourselves with turnovers or just negative plays,” he added. “So we got to cut those out. We got to get on the same page on offense and defense and keep the faith.”
The Steelers are at an unexceptional 4-3 so far this season.
